Working alongside her dad is the way Jenny was raised and the way she chooses to live, at least until she goes to veterinary school. Determined and dedicated she rises early and doesn’t end her day until the evening chores are done.
When “heart tied” is hurled at Jenny as an accusation, she can’t deny it. David, her neighbor through a country mile, is as much a part of her life as the land she loves. Encouraging her to pursue her dreams, David is there to help when needed until he leaves to fulfill a personal commitment for two years.
Jenny accepts their separation with only letters to keep in touch—in an instant communication world—but when his letters stop; she fears he has moved on without her. Determined to keep her feelings in check, Jenny befriends Nash, but when she has a chance meeting with David, the feelings she has tried to suppress are heightened.
David’s return does little to clarify their relationship before he leaves again. Has their long-term friendship been an indication of something more, as Jenny has always hoped, or does it prevent him from falling in love with her?

Heart Tied eBook Robyn Buttars

Jenny is a farmer's daughter whose neighbor David has been her best friend since childhood. This is a chaste story of how nice kids handle falling in love. It was refreshing as well as interesting, told in flashback scenes from Jenny's high school years showing her prize livestock at county & state fairs to her dismay at losing time with David while he was on his 2 year mission outreach. Great for younger teens, shows how some guys will protect girls while others will try to use them (no sex scenes, thank goodness!), and how a true gentleman treats a gal that he loves.

Heart Tied eBook Robyn Buttars Reviews

Good story. Well written.
Loved finishing the journey of Jenny and David. As a sequel to Country Tied (Simply Jenny) it was great to find out what happens with Jennie and David and their friendship. Great Young Adult novel for all ages. Clean and wholesome with some fun! Fun to learn about diary culture competitions, not something I would normally learn about.
Heart Tied kept me on the edge of my seat wondering if the protagonists relationship with here longtime best guy friend would mature into something permanent. I love this novel because the relationship between the protagonist and her boyfriend was always above board.
I enjoyed the story, the way you describe d the valley and mountains was like I was right there in Utah. The characters are very engaging. And there are some very important life lessons shared in a gentle manner. I read the books in order, they were both very interesting and we'll written. Thanks for sharing. K
I really enjoyed this story. There was no swearing or anything inappropriate in the book which is refreshing. I am looking forward to reading more of your books.
I thought this would be just a fun love story to read. I started reading it while waiting on my husband to finish with a meeting so we could start a long, nine hour drive back home. I was surprised how quickly I got lost in the book. I got about halfway through the book before we started driving home, and then kept wondering what was going to happen next. We got home late so I finished the book the next day. I love a bit of mystery and even more so when it's unexpected. What a fun surprise. I highly recommend this book. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I do wonder if Heart Tied is a common term or if it is of the author's making.
I really enjoyed the story. I live in the same area and liked being able to connect with places the author mentioned. I also grew up on a ranch (a little different than a dairy farm), and loved the "familiarity" the story brought. I thought she explained things well and I didn't have any problem moving from the "present" paragraphs at the beginning of the chapters and dropping back to the past, then bringing it all in at the end. I also appreciated that it was a good, clean read with no worry about language, violence or sex.
